Connor140597
Hi guys , sorry to post again.just wondering if anyone could help me with the process if registering my car into the UK. I'm assuming someone here has done it or knows how to do it. Right, I have the v55 form to fill out and I also have the paper work claiming I not longer have the logbook requestion a new one. Is this all I need to fill out ? Do I need to fill out a NOVA form online for HMRC ? Hope this makes sense. Thanks, Connor Sent from my LG-H860 using Tapatalk
JamesD89
Did you import the car yourself?
Connor140597
Did you import the car yourself? No , the guy I bought it off got it from Ireland but never did all the importing stuff into the UK. So when infill out the NOVA form it won't let me because you can't import a car from the UK to the UK if that makes sense ?????Sent from my LG-H860 using Tapatalk
JamesD89
Not sure how it works between UK and Ireland with regards to customs sorry, I'm assuming duty must of been payed before leaving the docks. What import paperwork do you have?

JamesD89
I'm assuming so as well mate. I don't have any import documents. That's my point , the only import papers that must of been somewhere was the one from Japan to Ireland , but I don't have them and neither does the lad who I bought it off Sent from my LG-H860 using Tapatalk
Connor140597
I would send off the forms you have and enclose a letter explaining the situation and see what they send you back, at least you will be getting the correct advice and peace of mind, hope you get it sorted bud. This is my problem. There is a section where you have to fill out the detail of the person you bought it off and where from , Because I bought the car from the UK I can't say I've importated a car from the UK in to the UK . Do you get me ???? Sent from my LG-H860 using Tapatalk

I've just been on the phone to dvla and shit like that and I have it sorted now. This is what I need to do step by step. 1- wait for an email from nova 2- fill out the nova form and send it via post.3- wait for nova to send conformation back of all the details.4- get the cars mot done and get the cars records from toyota 5- fill out the v55 form.6- send off the forms along with money and mot copy and tax the car. 7- get registration back and get plates made up.
