Has my engine mount gone?

Alright all

Basically on idle I've heard this high pitch squeaking noise.

The other day when I slammed the bonnet down i heard it when the engine was off.

I looked again and basically if I just shake or wiggle the engine I can hear this squeaky noise.

Engine mount yeh?

sounds like something loose bracket bolt washer kinda sound

mounts dont make that kinda noise

Maybe put car on axle stands and start it up and get underneath mate👍🏻

yeh im going to be overhauling a few bits soon just wonderd if i needed to order new mounts beforehand.

did a quick scout around tonight and strangely the squeak is coming from the trubo, effortless wiggle and its squeaking mad. checked propeller and surrounding bits and all is solid nothing loose??

Had a noise like this fo ages on my volvo and thought that was turbo, i know its far from the same but it was were it was braced to the engine. The exhaust is as moving slightly causing that exact noise. Hope it helps.

Might pop brace and exhaust off see if I can pin point it. Does my head in, even closing bonnet generates a little squeak

Did you manage to sort it out? Is your turbo housing rubbing somewhere?
