Wasup Dannyboi :D

For a standard SR Starlet you could get top dollar from someone who really wants an ultra low mileage SR such as yours. I would have bought yours in a flash if I didnt have one already ;b Put it this way, you have a valuable SR there because of the tasty mileage and it sounds like the ltd edition metallic black version and momo steering wheel.

The extras you put on your car will never add to its resale value except maybe coilovers and full bodykit. So put it this way, you have hardly spent any money on doing up your car, which is an advantage for you because you are selling your car you haven't lost out on anything ;b

Mine is a standard red 1998 Starlet Si and is low mileage too, bit less than yours 26000 (24000 when I got her a few months ago)

but the only difference is I bought mine from a big dealer and the going price was £2400. We haggled him down to £2200 and hence 'Starletto' was born.

It would be different doing a private deal like yourself, and whoever comes to look at it will want to bargain wth you. Its so hard to say due to the type of buyers you are gonna encounter, plus time is against you because you got the aussie trip coming up.

Definitely advertise a lot more if you are so desparate to sell it ;b The advantage with big dealers is that people always come round to have a look with loadsa interest.

If you put it in autotrader with that low mileage, I am sure your gonna get a few calls ;b

Its said that our toyota starlets always have a good resale value, but not many people want to pay top dollar for an older car these days unless its turbo or glanza.

£2400 is totally reasonable, it would sound like taking the piss asking for more, but the advantage you have is prob one of the lowest mileage SRs in the UK and I bet its really well looked after with all that service history so its totally up to you and obviously you want to get a much as you can for it reasonably.

Hope you get sorted mate ; :D

Plz let us know how you get on.

The only reason I dont already have a black sr is because the ones I seen before I got my red standard is due to the ruff mileage (70-80k) on em ;b One of the main reasons I love my car so much is for its low mileage.

Peace :D
