morgey Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Someone did start it in an ep82 with a inline 4age and mx5 rear axle iirc Quote
Legend009 Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 How did it go?? The rear wheel ep82 are so rare. Quote
5T4R7ET N/A Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 If you start with an ep85 or ep95 i cant imagine it being too difiicult. The four wheel drive platform makes it a lot easier Quote
5e colin Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 much easier to turn seat and steering wheel around ha ha Quote
Dean_mc88 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 much easier to turn seat and steering wheel around ha ha That way would also give you rear wheel steering lol Quote
Starlet__SR Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Wouldn't be too bad if you used a solid axle then you could fabricate mounts that meet the existing mounting points for the rear beam. Mounting the engine longitudally rather than transverse would be tight though. Quote
roachburger Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 connor brown has done it on his ep85 .. its a 4WD box but i think hes just dropped the front shafts and welded the diff. im not really sure he likes to keep it a secret.its not worth the effort to do a full longitudinal engine conversion the only engine short enough to fit without moving the entire firewall back a foot would be a scoob flat 4 but even then there would have to be a transmission tunnel made.
