I personally use a Helix sprung paddle clutch and found it to be fine for road use. I know for sure that some people over here use it for 300bhp+ .

What do people think to the SPEC Stage 3 clutch?

This happened to mine...

Centre springs have collapsed!

Scored inter gearbox casing.

So in my opinion utter rubbish!

It's because the spec 6 clutch td sell is actually for a mr2. I had the same issue. Lightweight fly wheels can make it worse

MR2 MK1 is meant to have the same clutch setup. I used an MR2 CAP clutch back in the day with no issues

I'm sure I'd seen something about the spec clutches having an issue before on the forum, but I'm ordering some other bits from TD so was thinking about spec, but maybe I shall go with the competition stage 4 instead.

Thanks for your replies :-)
