ArneyT
Hey lads first time poster (so go easy) Been of the glanza scene a few years and am in the middle of buying an ep91 at the minuteThe guy has just fitted a td04 turbo and he says it's now hitting the fuel cut.It has a fcd, adjustable acu, and a fpr. It's running stock ecu also.Any tips on how to get this sorted? Haven't really got the money for a new ecu for a few months.Any help be great
00joeindastarb0
Lengthen the actuator arm to reduce the boost to 0.6 bar til you can get a mappable ECU.
Gainzy
If it has a fcd how is it cutting? I would adive a map as above asap the better
ArneyT
Ok so I should be safe at 0.6 bar? It's running 1 bar ATM. Is it pointless to bring it to a rolling road untill I get a new ecu?
JamesD89
Doesn't sound promising that someone selling can't be bothered to sort the fuel cut before a sale? If it has a adjustable actuator as above why doesnt him or her just adjust it. Would put me right off
ArneyT
I know but he's was going to keep it for himself and fit a new ecu when he had the time.. just wondering is there anything else I could do untill I can get the money up for a new one.
00joeindastarb0
If you can get the fcd working, book a Rolling Road and have it set up with the fpr, it's crude but if you just want to get boosting!
ArneyT
Thanks for reply.. should i set the boost to 0.6 asap
patman
I wouldn't even buy this and walk away
ArneyT
I know it doesn't sound the best the way I'm explaining but it had a engine rebuild a while ago with forged pistons etc.. I was set on it but staring to think otherwise.. anybody know of any ecus going cheap cheap
patman
If you get it mate or already have it it needs to go on a rolling road like today, now, tomorrow, asap to make sure its running right
Turbo Goose
You want to make sure it is forged as well if they are saying it is because if someone spent a couple grand forging an engine it wouldnt be running a FCD and adjustable fpr
