hey lads last years readings where mint



low idle co 0.15% / hc 184 ppm



high idle co 0.26% / hc 127 ppm



lamda 1.01



today not so good fail brrr



low idle co 0.49% ( limit 50 ) / hc 263 ppm ( pass )



high idle co 0.98% ( limit 0.30 !!! ) / hc 203 ppm ( limit 200 )



lamba stil,l 1.01 ?????

Pretty strict for an old car.

High CO is excessive carbon monoxide reading so unburnt / rich fuel mixture.

Turn the FPR down if you can, take the air filter off.

Failing that slip the tester a few quid.

If you're still running the original and I would assume it is judging by it being the stock one I'd suggest changing the fuel pressure regulator. Failing that I'd take a look at the injectors.

in the endi i changed cat dropped the readings to just above tolerance for nct/mot then i got a na cat a new 1 of ebay  ( strait bolt in joby as my stock exhaust  had an old 1 in there already ( fully black gunked up same as old original 4efte cat ) 

then i spotted i was driving around on ngk bkr7e  fully fouled up but not mis firing changed them over to a 5 ( na ) she passed flying colors readings are 0.40 on low idle and 0.15 on high idle 

hcc are way down to under the 50 

 

still need to rebuild engine or this cats wont last long before there fouled up to
