hey lads what are the tt bam versions like  do they move are they easy to tune etc etc

Are they not just the pathetic 1.8 Turbo engine found in most VAGs of that era?

Most are  150 and 190 bhp fwd  that's all I know  saw  1 that States 225 and bam engine want some info on them before I do the 200 mile journeys

I got my wife a leon cupra r with the same engine. BAM engine are 225bhp.

they are not slow but with a bit if tuning easily go well. The six speed box works well with the engine and is nice drive with.

Suffer from a couple of common faults. Look em up on google.

Engine sludge, easily overcome with forte.

my one had a auxiliary water pump leak, easy fix.

just look out for usual oil leaks and   Turbo pipes. 

They are strong engines in general and easy to tune.

225 bam engine is 1.8 20vt turbo which is mostly the same as 150/180 but has different map, injectors and turbo. I had an Ibiza cupra and it went well yes the engine had their faults but with a few mods a bam engine with a remap and bigger cooler should see 250 ish if I remember correctly!
