Youtube was my first port of call. But I did not see any videos specific to starlets. I guess it is the same principle on all cars?

Yes correct, they pretty much all have slider pins, a dust cover and the square seal inside the caliper.

There is 1 difference, on the rear calipers the piston is on a thread which is for the handbrake, so you have to rotate it to get it in and out. You can rotate the piston it with a pair of screwdrivers or get a tool like in the pictures down this page:

Yeah interestingly, I can't say I found it really that difficult.

Probably different when you're doing under clock, but I done it at home and just took my time.

The thread can actually be removed from the piston.

 

You could remove it to ensure you haven't damaged the thread.

I utterly destroyed the piston on mine, and the thread got knackered too.

Luckily, my Dad managed to file the thread back inline for us (As this was not supplied with the piston).

Remember, a downwards force is applied to the screwing motion to help it locate. Just be wary not to damage the thread.

There is a tool you're supposed to use for this.
