iano21 Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Before it starts I know a turbo is faster. That is not an option for wat I'm doing. Also I know 5e is drop in but Very hard get here nd have a tsport yaris thats scrap Just wondering has anyone done it. Will two mounts nd shafts b right nd just fab d engine mount?? Quote
lukEp Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 (edited) Rear mount and ns mount match up you just have to fabricate and OS mount, driveshafts should fit as the 5e/4e drops in the yaris bay and shafts fit so it's got to be the same the other way. If you do this I'll be keeping a keen eye. I've wanted to do this for ages but the cons outweigh the pros..... the yaris handles so much better than the starlet for a start. But you'll probably be the first to do it, have 105bhp out the bag and potenial for around 125bhp with a few mods. You can also turbo/supercharge the 1nzfe with off the shelf parts. iano21 Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 Ah pros nd cons never bothered me ha going to give it a go. . Dont like yaris Goin to drop it into an ep82 Quote
iano21 Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 (edited) No turbo has to b n/a so an exhaust nd intake nd ecu maybe throttle bodies see how d room is with intake on d front Edited February 4, 2018 by iano21 Quote
cherrye10 Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 how about a 2zz? to go a different route? is it a pain in the backside? Quote
iano21 Posted February 5, 2018 Author Posted February 5, 2018 2zz requires custom shafts nd chassis work nd front cross member work just think cud do this easier plus I already have a tsport there complete ha Quote
maddox710 Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 The 1nzfe got weak rods so can' tmuch boost if you go down that route, having owned a yaris t sport I must say it's a great little fizzy engine, bomb proof like like the 4e Quote
iano21 Posted February 5, 2018 Author Posted February 5, 2018 No turbo will b staying n.a.. Have they same rods as anything else stronger?? Quote
Sudden Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 not sure how useful this info is, but the header/exhaust from the 4wd nze121 corolla is tucked closer to the engine and might fir the starlet firewall easier? Quote
