I have been looking to get some cams for my na build. Was looking into getting oe cams sent to be reground which means new shims will be needed but for a little extra cost the there is the billet cams by speedvision. Other than that I'm not sure where to get any other cams. Does anyone have any experience with the speedvision cams are they any good and do they require reshimming?

Any cam needs rechiming you need to go big port on the head and raise rpm to 9k for them to work propperly stock intake manifold won't do attal chocking hazzard so uprated 4efte intake manifold with bigger tb 60+

I am planning on using them with the throttle bodies instead of a manifold.

And yeah I was looking into getting valve springs aswell I will have a look at that site later on.

Any set of cams you swap out will need reshimming whether they are standard or aftermarket.

Inlet clearance is like 0.15mm to 0.25mm, exhaust is 0.25mm to 0.35mm so you've only really got 0.1mm to play with. If you start switching parts its not hard to sway either side of the tolerances so you will have to check all 16 valve clearances again are re check

Why do you have to change the shims when using the higher lift cams I can understand changing them when using regrinds.

You'l need to test fit and measure up regardless of what cams you drop in
