minxy Posted August 11, 2008 Share Posted August 11, 2008 Here's my story...It started off with me looking for a firstcar, it had to be reasonably small, easy to drive, nice looking, cheap-ish to run and it was not allowed to be anything that wasn't jap according to my boyfriend of the time who had an rx7so that meant pugs, saxo's, corsa's etc out the window, thankfully! So i therefore ended up buying an eg civic shortly after my 16th birthday. The civic was a lsi which had had an engine conversion to the 1.6vtec lump, i picked it up for next to nothing. I then decided that it was a pretty stupid idea 1. because it wasn't the easiest to drive 2. I'd probably stack it pretty quickly as it was a reasonably quick car for a first car.3. It would cost more than what i paid for the car to insure it.So i wacked the civic on auto trader and was rid of it within a week with a couple of hundred quid profit aswell, so couldn't really complain. Next i remembered a comment a mate had made about selling his little bluey purpley curvy little car. Which i had always had a soft spot for.. So on the off chance i called him to see if he was selling it and coincidentally it had just finsihed on ebay without having had much attention. So 2 days later, i had a look round it, had a little drive and bought it within the week. Thats how i ended up with my starletina!! Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Galliano Posted August 11, 2008 Share Posted August 11, 2008 God that last line was pure cheeessseee!!! na its a true story, honestly, i really like the chaps here, and they are much more welcoming to me as the paseo ownersclub, they just wouldnt let it go that i was 14 and i had put an optional lip kit on "mummies" car.these chaps are much more enthusiastic about what im doing, and are all very kind to me.i have much more of a laugh here even though i have never owned a starlet in my life.
