So finally getting round to squeezing my own car in tomorrow for some new bits.

Td monster radiator.

Genuine thermostat. 

Genuine drivers door hinges due to the current ones having play.

Front mount intercooler with new samco joiners.

Both handbrake cables as ones seized.

New parts are always a great start.

Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Front mount intercooler and air filter relocation are now on, really really need to get the engine bay cleaned up 🤦‍♂️ rome wasnt built in a day i suppose 😂

Got the car booked in at the local bodyshop for a full respray on the 5th of October. Cant wait!

Your getting there. Recently this site has alot of great builds happening.

What colour are you going.

Thanks mate. I hope the forum comes back to life again, love the build threads! 

Keeping it the same colour, reason for the respray is there is a few marks here and there dotted around the panels so with my OCD ive gone for a full spray 😂

Made a start tonight on stripping the car ready for its trip to the bodyshop on monday. Windows are getting removed tomorrow then spend Friday stripping everything else out. 

Also if anybody is removing their rear spolier it took me ages to figure it out as i presumed it was bonded on 🤦‍♂️😂... 2x 10mm's behind the wiring grommets ( 1 either side) then just slide it up.

Finally got round to removing the last of the A/C. It was just the evaporator left to remove and fit a blanking plug. Quick easy job... remove the glove box, ecu, a few multi-plugs and about 4 10mm bolts.

Fully stripped and ready to drop off at the bodyshop monday morning 😀

This is clean, and about to be cleaner.

Fresh paint, you really can't beat it.

To be honest im not sure how long it will take, he can have it aslong as he needs though so long as it comes away like its walked of the production line 😂

im same mine gonna be 6 weeks  20 years on uk roads obviously takes its toll

yeah in ep 91 progress called a starlet 20 year daily ive had it years mate 40 next year never to old for a starlet

Got the car back today from the body shop. Really chuffed with how it’s come out! Now just to find time to rebuild it

Few more pictures now it’s off the truck. Really pleased with how it’s come out.
