ste91
I don't know what Toyota says, but Parkers says something like 11 seconds 0-60, 103mph top speed, 74 BHP.The top speed bit sounds like rubbish to me, standard Starlets should get over 110+ I think.
Sparky
They are in the book as 74bhp and I wouldnt believe any of the 0-60 or top speeds, they dont test them properly
Starletraje
my tested 0-60, two people in the car was 10.6sstandard sportif
Rich
0-60s done on a stop watch are more useless than the well know Erdősâ??Bacon number Just take the specs with a pinch of salt, its how you use the specs that matters
RobSR
think toyota said something like 10.4 to 60, and 104 top speed..74HP
Tintin_SR
that don't explain why my one goes off the clock at 120???
montanajr
120mph ? Clocks could be out by up to 10mph, although unlikely. I've driven along side some N/A Starbo's and they do seem pretty damn quick! Had a VTR follow me and that thing was slow, the owner said he couldn't keep up for shiz. I wouldn't be surprised if a N/A Starlet was a wee bit quicker than a Saxo VTR?? RobSR
^ bout the same with the corolla inlet...tintin you had that on yours tho? ours has gone past 120 leptons on the clock but its 7 mph out.
Sparky
Yea it was easy for me to get it off the clock although it wont now But we did the test in a mates Staret and when we was doing 120 on the clock it was only 111 or 112 on sat nav

Sparky
vtr's are 1.6 8v, phase one is 90bhp and the facelift is 98bhp
Starletraje
so i bet that accelerates like a slug in salt...
SiCaln
nice analogy
montanajr
VTR = 9ish secs to 60. So would be quicker than a standard Starlet actually.... 0-60 is pointless anyway tbh.
Callan
Lol!!!! not again...
RobSR
^ indeed that other thread was stupid...also an old VTR does 10.0 dead to 60...lets leave it as that.

Lee_EP82
i think most will have more than 74bhp as Pallett on here got 86bhp atf iirc totally standard.

Rich
My speedo must be quite accurate then as it stopped accelerating after 112... but now with decat I gained 4mph. Mwahahahaha! Oh and wasn't ment to be a dig mate... my bad
