ive got some 17" 4 stud alloys, there of a vauxhall and been told theyd fit toyotas? is that right?

Yes they might but it depends on the tire width as well i think

also depends on their offset and PCD..starlets are 4 x 100...dont even try putting 17's on a starlet, it will look gash, and handle gash

Agreed, no more than 15's ideally I think. Big wheels dont suit Starlets.

i wouldn't even go above 16's on my car and its considerably bigger than a starbo. they look ridiculous on anything less than a hummer

problem is that the starlet is small and the wheels are closer together... so it just wouldnt sit nicely, and you would be unpleased with it.

fit them to the rolla which is also 4x100

im gonna keep them till i get a car and see what there like on, i might like them but might not.. can only say wether i will or not when there on!

I wouldn't go above a 15" i think they are perfect the bigger wheels will just make handling worse and look gash. From the handling side of things you don't want to have a first car that handles like shite as it won't last long.

17s too big for a Starlet

16s max

But yea they would fit as Vauxhall share the same pcd, although watch the centre bore it might be too big, in that case you would need spigot rings or if they are to small then they wont fit

Oh and watch the offset

dont put any bigger than 16 inch would look like a starlet roller skate hehe. 16 inch is fine 15 inch is better although as starky says watch the centre bore as running wheels without spigot rings can lead to problems. and watch the offset as well.

when mine had 16's it tramlined like a c***, just didn't drive very nie at all. that may have been due to the tyres, but it did feel as though it was a little too light for anything that large, although it does work for some people if setup for it.

compare that to my s14 which feels fine on 17's, although it does tend to 'grab' lines in the road as they're a good 9" wide
