WAINY
Well when i got my 97' glanza v it was pretty much standard with just a HKS exhaust system, Team Dynamic wheels and Trust panel filter. As most of you know it never stays like that, you get bitten by the power bug so start modding. First to come was a HKS actuator a couple of gauges, de-cat, Blitz bov and K&N induction kit.A few months later i won a show and shine at a big jap show (rising sun car show). This really spurred me on to to more!We sold our skyline my other pride and joy and suddenly i had money burning a hole in my pocket!!One drunken afternoon me, dave and my mate took the engine out of the car (like you do!!) as i had plans-Now there was no going back..I decided to go TD04 with forged internals. I was soon on the phone with Dave Burwash and messaging Sacha for parts. I decided on Sacha's (wepr) TD04 kit. We sent the block off to be bored and the head off for:New valve sealsHead skimmingValves pressure tested and reseatedTappets shimmed Valve clearences set We then started with the rebuild.I decided to replace almost everything as didnt want to leave anything to chance:Water pumpOil pumpBig end bearingsThrust BearingsMain BearingsThermostatAll beltsFull toyota engine gasket kitAll rubber hoses for silicone hoses. After the rebuild came a painfull running in period (1000 miles) and 4 oil changes. Now my current spec is:wepr manifoldtd04 turbotial external wastegatewepr front mount intercoolerscreamer pipewepr decatblitz supersound bovhks exhaust system7mm ultra leadswiseco 74.5 forged pistonsscat forged conrodsfull engine rebuildngk iridium heat 8 spark plugswalbro fuel pump550cc sard injectorszep racing 1.2mm headgasketgreddy profec e-01apexi air filter relocatedemanage bluecap 4 paddle clutchSubaru WRX 2006 seatsOil pressure/Water temp/Boost gaugesAfter a full remap and fitting of e-manage Blue at Fusion Motorsport (by ed) i had it rolling roaded at Sussex Rolling Road and got the following results:This is my car now. Id say finished but im sure i will find something else to buy!!
