Recommended Posts

Well when i got my 97' glanza v it was pretty much standard with just a HKS exhaust system, Team Dynamic wheels and Trust panel filter.

As most of you know it never stays like that, you get bitten by the power bug so start modding. First to come was a HKS actuator a couple of gauges, de-cat, Blitz bov and K&N induction kit.

A few months later i won a show and shine at a big jap show (rising sun car show). This really spurred me on to to more!

One drunken afternoon me, dave and my mate took the engine out of the car (like you do!!) as i had plans-Now there was no going back..

I decided to go TD04 with forged internals. I was soon on the phone with Dave Burwash and messaging Sacha for parts. I decided on Sacha's (wepr) TD04 kit.

We sent the block off to be bored and the head off for:

New valve seals

Head skimming

Valves pressure tested and reseated

Tappets shimmed

Valve clearences set

We then started with the rebuild.

I decided to replace almost everything as didnt want to leave anything to chance:

Water pump

Oil pump

Big end bearings

Thrust Bearings

Main Bearings

Thermostat

All belts

Full toyota engine gasket kit

All rubber hoses for silicone hoses.

After the rebuild came a painfull running in period (1000 miles) and 4 oil changes.

Now my current spec is:

wepr manifold

td04 turbo

tial external wastegate

wepr front mount intercooler

screamer pipe

wepr decat

blitz supersound bov

hks exhaust system

7mm ultra leads

wiseco 74.5 forged pistons

scat forged conrods

full engine rebuild

ngk iridium heat 8 spark plugs

walbro fuel pump

550cc sard injectors

zep racing 1.2mm headgasket

greddy profec e-01

apexi air filter relocated

emanage blue

cap 4 paddle clutch

Subaru WRX 2006 seats

Oil pressure/Water temp/Boost gauges

After a full remap and fitting of e-manage Blue at Fusion Motorsport (by ed) i had it rolling roaded at Sussex Rolling Road and got the following results:

cheers guys!

its mapped to 1.4 bar.

they are subaru 2006 wrx seats

and the thing on the steering wheel is a remote for the e-01 boost controller so you can up boost for better traction when setting off. i dont really use it to be honest although it is pretty good!

How hard were the seats to fit mate?

they weren't easy to be honest. had to make brackets and have them welded on and it was hard to line the runners up.

they were def worth it tho as they have so much more support than the standard ones!
