Dean @RW-Developments
ok so i just went out in the car but i now have another problem, when i drive the car normally its fine but when i get to 4000rpm the car missfires and makes a gurgling sound i also loose power, the car still boosts as normal to 4000rpm, ive notices the fuel injectors seem to be slightly louder ive checked all the oil/water and theres nothing loose. i think it could be fuel related, if someone could please shed some light on what it could be or how to fix it...thanks Dean

Squeak-Glanza
I've got the same problem just going to fit my new plugs the now, is your engine management light on?
Bourkey
Quick bit of advice. Sort out the over boosting problem as it will start damaging your engine. Could be the reason if your going through spark plugs. As for your problem. Markoos had the same problem recently. Turned out it was the spark plugs so check them first. The reason his went was because of water getting down the scoop and down into the spark plugs. Just an idea bud .
SpeedFreak
I had exactly the same issue, and once I changed my spark plugs it was fine.
pagey
i had this problem with a subaru sti i use to own it turned out to be the boost controler
Squeak-Glanza
i mine is working fine now i put the new plugs in and it runs fine, think it just as you say having no top mount lets all the water run down onto the plugs...
StarletRick
its plugs mate, as everyones said. check you dont have water down in the head where the plugs are, that can cause it. its fairly common on starlets due to the scoop for the interwarmer.if its all dry, then get new ones.
