Callan
Just wondering what my gt will be like on 14s with 240-250bhp?would it be that bad id need 15s+?thinking it will be silly wheelspin and torque steer?many thanks for your inputsx
Driver
wouldnt worry about power getting to wheels pal, something else will pop 1st
ste91
Spin your wheels? More like spin a bearing...
paul w
Put 16's on and use the traction instead of wasting money on rubber being left on the road for no reason.
Pav
I agree with the above. Im running a hybrid on 16s now and still have traction issues pretty much every day. On the 15s it was a joke in anything lower than 3rd gear.
molovin
Think of it this way i have a standard Glanva and practically standard at the moment and still havign problems gettign the power down
montanajr
Think of it this way i have a standard Glanva and practically standard at the moment and still havign problems gettign the power downTry not pressing the loud petal all the way to the floor when pulling off, try not to accelerate in standing water, and try some good quality tyres. Sorry, not trying to be rude but you really can't be having that much trouble getting the power down in a standard Glanza. Especially if 1st/2nd gear is still boost restricted! Lee_EP82
Cal dont be stupid you plank. You moan to me how you cant get traction on your hybrid now your asking if you will get traction with 240bhp lmao.
molovin
Nah i got it on full boost disarmed the hi-lo option. And the standard rims are like biscuits with budget typre. Lookign to get the buddy club rims end of the month fitted
Callan
lol my tyres are smaller that stock and 14" wheels... i really hope it wont spin in 3rd, will torque steer be an issue in 3rd?
molovin
By third gear the power should drop off depends on the ecu and what you set it as
Callan
set what as mate? itll be at 1.2 bar constantly through the stock ecu, going to run apexi safc with a gtr fuel pump and fpr and innovite lc1 wideband, power wont drop off on a td04 ... if my hybrid didnt a td04 wont spesh running only 1.2 bar, the actuator spring is so tight im going to get slicks for the front wheels also for 1/4 mile, i want to get into low 13s/high 12s if possible with good launch and practice , i dont know what size, i was thinking 13-14" shitty alloys with very soft slicks running 15psi in them?dan i.e goldenvtr ran a 13.309 on 15" watanabes with road tyres, td04 at 1.2 bar with out an lsd, hopefully on 14-16" front wheels with slicks and low tyre pressure should get me into low 13s or high 12s, also il have all interior in car
montanajr
I say run 4 x 13" space savers wrapped in some Nankang rubber. Probs run high 10's with that setup tbh.
Driver
i recon you could run into mid 10s maybe low 10s at that spec, if only all the tuners worldwide knew your secret

Sparky
Thought your GT was 230bhp so its not going to spin much more than that
