DannyGlanzav
If your going to get one get an import, wrx etc.. the uk spec ones are a bit bland imo. Treat em rite and there a good reliable car
ep82auto
lol cant agree more, jap escort lolbut very reliable at holding good power! my last was a 1995 wrx import, standard at 260bhp got her to 333bhp for around 800 notes.not alot could touch me with a genuine 333bhp with a p1 clutch.only sold because of that reason (to common now days)
DannyGlanzav
I owned a 1996 wrx all I added was a FMIC, full nur spec exhaust system and air filter and it made 323bhp! at 1bar
bucketep91
i sold mine ecause it was costing me a fotune on fuel and insurance, it took a lot of abuse for a year tho and nothing went wrong
paulgtt
If I was to get one it would have to be a type RA, close ratio 'box FTW!!However I wouldn't get one because of the stupid noise they make.
bucketep91
the noise is the best thing about a subaru lol

Curtis
i have a mate that had a small knock in it and i couldnt believe how cheap it was to fix compared to starlets, it shows how expensive starlet parts are compared to bigger car what you would expect to rape you
LeeG
ave got one sellin it verry soon parts are very easy to get hold of. if your buyin one best buyin imported ones. thing to look out for are 3rd gear is common on goin in them, boost solinds, crank sensor, and water leakin through rear lights. always make sure oil is at max as they have a shallow sump and when booted all oil goes to rear of sump obv thts why there bad for bottom ends.there queit thursty on fuel tbh.
LeeG
aslo if buyin wrx import try get the one with Z4 ecu in it thts the 260bhp stanard with better fuel map and high fuel cut set at 1.1 bar rather than other scoobys are 0.9.
