MarcSR
Not really worthy of an update but....I HAVE NOW TOUCHED UP THE BATTLE SCAR! And here's a dirty pic of it the day before I covered the scratches lol Few questions matey..Howd u remove the bumpstrips? and whata bout the glue afterDoes the laguna splitter need cut to fit?And oh its lookin sick mate:)
Turkish91
Right then...long time since I've updated this!Done a fair few things and some more due in the pipeline soon too!Been really tempted to do an FTE conversion as Ive just sold my bike so have £1800 to let loose with! But luckily I've been sensible and its going towards a GSXR 600 K4...just gotta find £1200 or so So... since last posting a lot has changed! I've re-done the wheelnuts this time illuminous green lol, and decided to take a few of the stickers off to make it more subtle. Also had my new exhaust fitted too which is looking lovely and sounds really good everyone comments on how it doesn't sound shit like most kevved up cars! Nice subtle but deep tone.Decided to strip the car out for ISTS, as was planning to go on the track with it, but then.... disaster struck! Gearbox went, or so I thought, turns out it was the selector cables so have had them changed and back on the road. Does still sound ropey going into second though when you drive it hard! When I got it back from the garage there was a funny noise, turns out the front N/S spring has sheared one of the top coils off!! Luckily however its a complete coil so it HOPEFULLY (touching wood!) won't go anywhere until I get my new springs! Thinking of getting Tein S-Tech springs to drop it down a bit further so should be looking sweettttt then So yeah just been cleaning and polishing her up a lot recently now we've got the better weather! Need to get it mopped soon, get that paint looking really good! When I bought the car it was like a piece of paper it was completely matt, so I've got it up to a good standard just need to get it that one stage further that mopping can acheive.Right here's a SHITLOAD of pics to keep you all happy, not in any particular order. There's also a few which my mate did for me with his posh camera Enjoy!Only done one wheel in this pic lol ^^^ Also sitting quite high at the back due to being lightly stripped! Seats are back in now though

the-dalester
mines on gmax 40mm springs and that dropped it quite a bit from standard, take a look at my build thread :harhar: Mark
Turkish91
PI Springs are -40mm dude lowest I've seenYeah but is that -40mm over standard ride height. Don't forget the SR is lowered slightly as standard anyway.ahh okay they look quite low, ill buy them if you do replace them, let me know No point in you having them mate, if you read up a bit the front left one has got a broken coil...hence why I'm changing them!mines on gmax 40mm springs and that dropped it quite a bit from standard, take a look at my build thread MarkSimilar to Amjad's comment, wasn't yours a Sportif as standard so would be higher than an SR anyway? I want it proper speedhump eating low ;) I'll have a look now anyway
Amjad
It would be higher than an SR stock yes, but after -40mm springs, our cars are lower than the SRs
the-dalester
^^couldnt put it better lol, there isnt really anything out there to make a starlet go lower other than coilies, as far as im aware anyway lol
Turkish91
UPDATE TIMEEEE Had the car mopped on Wednesday! So she's looking swish and fly now! Well...on the rear and drivers side as the mop packed up on my mate! Half a job eh... He's vowed to finish the job when he gets a new mop from work so it's all good! Here's a few pics after I gave her a right good clean yesterday, yes I know my wheels need repainting...soon to be Anthracite methinks! Springs have been ordered too! PI lowering springs £102 delivered so pretty chuffed with that, just gotta wait for them to arrive and get them fitted Just had four new Kumho's, no more tail action now (bit sad about that but suppose its safer lol!) and now I need new pads, possibly discs too as it seems to wobble a bit under heavy braking! Anyone got any recommendations on uprated discs?
