Bourkey
Decided to open this topic due to Nanglebadger's topic reminding me of it.Last week my neighbour's daughter (who doesnt live on the road by the way and is in her 30's) came out of her fathers house and walked up to me, as i was sitting in my car with my music on quite loud while i was polishing the inside. All my windows were up and doors shut. Time 5.30pmAnyway she says that my music is ALWAYS on too loud and it im causing a massive disturbance all over the the road (which is 75 yards long). This was a rare occasion usually i play it as im going out or coming home which is 30 seconds max and 90% of the time with my windows up.I understand i have a loud system as i have Pioneer front speakers and a Fli 1000watt sub. But its not that loud. I've put my system on at the volume i have it at, got out of the car closed the door and gone into my house and i have to listen carefully in a silent room at the front of the house to hear a minute sound. At full blast my music makes no more than 90db inside the car. What it makes outside with the doors shut i dont know. The reason for this is, there is a law i think on how loud you can have your music at certain times of the day. Does anyone have a clue what it is before i ram my sub down this womans mouth!!!!!!PLEASE!!!!!!!Bourkey
Alena
tell her to go back to her road and shut her face.i think there isn't a noise restriction up until 8pm or 11pm or something like that. but i may be wrong.
Nanglebadger
yeah there is a noise restriction between 11pm and i think its either 6 or 7am, like your not allowed to soound your horn etc between these times. However, outside these times u can make as much bloody noise as u like! Bollox to them mate! I have a drum kit, so far no1 has said anything to me altho i know they can hear it as one of my neighbours jokes about it but is well cool about it, but even if they did TUFF TITTIES!!!! U can do wot u like man!Phil.
lobotomy
I have to sympathis with the woman -- there's a lot of loud cars on my street -- a rally prepped Mk2 escort, impreza, MG ZR with the loudest exhaust ever... and my car Though it's actually not too bad!But the noisiest bloody car on the street is an old micra with two 10" subs in the back -- it just rolls up and down the street playing god awful music!!I dunno maybe I'm just getting old??
Nanglebadger
Yeah i do see her point totally but if like u say bourkey its only on a rare occasion that it happens then i dont see how she can really compain unless she's just a stuck up pleb!Phil.
Bourkey
My car is the only one on the street that makes more than usual noise as im the only one into cars on my road. But it was a rare occasion i said. I would completly understand if it was hours a day, outside her fathers house, and windows down. When she approached me i told her she can do what she wants as im 99% sure there is not a restriction at 5.30 in the afternoon. My dad was angry because she doesnt even live here. I might buy a drum kit now you have mentioned itBourky

ecksjay
have you tried punching her in the ovaries? usually works for me.Also, if you want loud, you should try my old system. Hit 143dB @ 12.6v, would've hit FAR more at 14.4v........that was one 12". i still have the ported enclosure actually, i may stick it up here for someone to actually make use of it. Bourkey
30 seconds of it will be enough i think.I'm not usually like this but this woman has angered me so much. It may sound petty to some people but it was the way she was talking to me. It was like she was talking to a 5 year old. My dad is going to have a quiet word with her pointing out that she doesn't live there and im 20 years old (nearly 21) and not to speak to me an my mates like we are 5. The reason i say mates as a few months ago my mate parked his car up outside my house but i live opposite a school so it gets busy at home time. Somebody blocked her in so she came round to my house and demanded that he moved it or else. My mate just said to her i will if you just say please. My neighbours are so petty. When i was a kid they banned everything that was fun like cycling and being loud just 2 examples.reminds me of top gear which people are trying to ban. Don't these people have hobbies????????Bourkey
starletno1fan
i get what you mean mate, bit harsh!but still though the restriction is as every1 has sed 11pm till 6am i think! tell her to zip it next time!
Sparky
It might be just me but i used to get told off by police at any time of the day with my music banging (wen i had my 2 12"s)Yea and the one time took the piss because it was a hot summers evening and i went passed a pub with a beer garden (which was packed and very loud) with my music on and there just happened to be a woman P.C there. Anyway shes jumped out in front of me and said next time i play my music that loud i will get a section 59!!!!!!As if i havent had enough of those
Jozinobi
dont these people have hobbies????????NO!!!These people don't have a life!Peace OutJoz

paul w
I don't see why you should do anything that she says, she sounds like one of lifes whingers.Turn it up next time she comes over to complain so you can't hear the whinging. Then she can see what it's like when it's right up loud! We have a woman in our street who plays that bloody song that has the from paris to berlin lyrics (cant remember what it's called)in her clapped out old mondeo,it's always at the same point when she leaves and returns! That drives me up the wall! Every day same song same part of song! pisses me off just thinkin bout it!
Jozinobi
And then leave her in a cloud of smoke Peace OutJoz
EarL
What you have to take into consideration here is what she deems to be loud. 90db may not seem loud to you, but it may seem deafening to her.If it's loud, just try turning it down a little. It doesn't hurt does it? EarL.
Alena
do like you said earlier mate, get your dad to go round there and have a word with them. if he's sensible about it and they get fucked off then they're the one in the wrong.
