A quick update from Toyota Performance Magazine...

Firstly many thanks for all of your kind comments and words of support for our new ALL TOYOTA magazine, and for all of those of you that have taken the time to introduce yourselfs on our website, and more importantly those that have filled out our feature request or even subscribed.

We've been overwhelmed with the feedback and support so far from the majority of the Toyota owners clubs we have contacted, and many Toyota specialist tuners/traders have already committed their support with advertising for the first and future issues of the printed magazine. Toyota GB themselves have backed the publication and will be working closely with us on future performance Toyota models (ooh FT-86 First drive!!) and general Toyota news and press releases.

My editorial team colleagues and I are planning a feature selection meet later this week to wade through the many exciting feature requests we have received to date, which is fair to say that most will be featured at some point throughout the year in TPM, once we've shortlisted the first issue we will contact owners directly to follow up for writing the features and planning organising photos/photoshoots etc.

As TPM aims to be very much club focussed and wil carry a club section in each issue we will always be keen to hear about your club events, meets, dyno days, exciting new builds also each month a Toyota model club of the month will be highlighted as a main club profile feature, so please do keep us updated of club news.

Once we have the features for the first issue underway we'll be announcing our launch date for the first issue, so not all that long to wait now!

In the meantime please do keep your short intros coming, photos to pimp yourToyota rides on our website, and for those of you who have a Toyota we'd be interested in featuring please fill out or feature request form at the top of the website.

If you have any ideas/suggestions or even have something to bring to the TPM team you can pm me here, or email me/message through our website.

We're looking forward to bringing your first installment of Toyota Performance Magazine to you soon, and meeting you guys and your cars at Jap meets throughout the summer.

QUICK TPM UPDATE

We're underway with our first issue! Things are progressing in the right direction and we're starting to organise the magazine theme into shape, ready to give you the best possible publication we can. In the mean time, check out the site, you'll get glimpses of the cars we're profiling. Yes, some of them are there, but you won't know till the issue comes through your door!

We're initially looking to have the first issue completed by the end of May, 2010 - and ready for dispatch 2 weeks thereafter. Please be aware that there might be a small slippage, but we'll communicate everything to you from the site as soon as we know it.

You can pre-order your copy here:- http://toyotaperformancemagazine.com/forum...3-Current-Issue

or better still subscribe here:- http://toyotaperformancemagazine.com/forum...e-Subscriptions

Thanks again for your support!

hi guys, the cover is only hyperthetical at this stage, and is subject to change once we've done our photoshoots, the photos shown we've had permission to use for a mock up, and embarrasingly we've actually or I've actually slipped up with the Starlet on the cover! wrong title to that particular pic hence the confusion caused, although that particular one will be featured in a future issue. Its a Starlet from here that is being featured that is more in keeping with the title, but more details will follow soon :0) There will also be another pleasant suprise for UKSC members in the first issue, all will be revealed soon!

id love have mine featured but cars like mine never get chosen because the engines are standard in them, its only glanzas or 4eftes conversions that are picked! which is a shame because there are plenty of standard starlets that have had time spent on them and look nice

Yea, but you gotta look from a magazine's point of view you know. I don't think that if you're not specifically into Starlets you would want to see a couple of standard cars, even if they are good looking.

  • 2 weeks later...

Sorry guys, not had the chance to catch up this week or so, we've not disappeared! it's production deadline on our sister magazine 'MR2 Only Magazine' so burning the midnight oil!

Our feature cars for the first issue have been chosen, and the owners are being contacted so that we can arrange photoshoots and writeups.

We'll update with news both here and on TPM as it all unfolds, but in the meantime you can subscribe or pre-order Toyota Performance Magazine at http://www.toyotaperformancemagazine.com

Hi folks,

Thought I'd throw my 2p in. I'm Steve's colleague, he's the handsome one, I'm the fatty!

Glad to see you've enjoyed what we've done so far, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. Hopefully. We're very interested in the RR day in Nottingham, so we'll probably be there to take some photos, ask some people about their cars and do some R&D on your club, which I must say is among the most welcoming and friendly that we've come across.

We'd like someone to volunteer to be a Rep for your club on TPM, to highlight your events, new cars, developments on TPM, etc. Obviously sort it out amongst yourselves and just let me, or Steve know. The lucky person can then add your events to our Events --> 2010 thread, then there's no excuse for us missing anything!

See you around, and thanks again for the welcome.

Johnny
