Is This Setup Safe?

right got my glanza back from the tuner i use after quite abit of work, which was

new cylinder head

new ct9b turbo

zisco manifold

all gasket and bolts for the above

hks accuater

gizzmo ibc

the car already had

blitz air filter

cat back exhaust

decat

rx7 top mount

arc bov

the car was all set up on the dyno, it was over fueling alot so he put a hks fcd on to bring it down. after this he said it was fueling good but could do with improvements.

the results were 186hp at 0.85bar.

now is this safe because this seems like alot of power for my setup?

any help would appreciated

woulda thought you'd need a rrfpr to adjust the fuel dont think a fcd would have done anything

By the sounds of it your "tuner" doesn't have a clue.

Get some proper management on there.

That power figure is about right for 1 bar but at 0.85 sounds a little high.

the tuners specialize in scoobys however one of them has done lots of starlets over the years. alot of people i know use them and they are highly recomended.

i am planing to get an emanage blue in the near future.

the thing that puzzles me is i thought it would b running lean but is running abit rich?

shouldnt be running 186bhp at 0.85 bar. 1 bar with all stage 1 mods is supposed to be 180bhp. but it could be done. and as said i dont think a FCD would bring the fueling down thats what a RRFPR is for. id get some proper management on it though would be beneficial in the long run

Sounds dodge as to me. Yes if you have a HKS fcd fitted it does lean it out due to the way they work.. Take that off, and get either an adjustable FPR on it or some proper management.

Don't be concerned about the power figure, it's just the RR telling porkies. How he's leaned it out is plain stupid tho.

Can you post up the AFR plot he gave you from the RR?
