Foggy
Right i have always wanted a ep82. I found this and saved it from been broken.Plan is to make it into a cheap track and drag car. I have my ep91 for everyday use.Copied from another website.Right lets get things started. The car had a small bang at the front so i looked like this when i got it home.So it got it home and started stripping itThe one good head light and the brackets are broke and bodged togetherSad looking gt bumperRad, spots and grill removedSo after removing all the front it looked like this. Needs a small pull but nothing major.Over all the car is in good condition except for the damage. So its a good base car to work with. Engine seems strong and not one bit smokey. Its fairly standard. There is a small bit of oil around the rocker coverThat due to a garden hose as a breather pipe! Please note the nice kink!I wont have a chassis dozer for a week or two so gonna start doing other small bitsFirst remove air con.The air con rad is already removed but the compressor is still there? Its the heaviest part of the system lolNow on to the inside of the car its fairly clean inside bar the mk1 gt seats. And this steering wheel. Im gonna have to replaced it so if anyone has one going cheap and in good nic pm me.Hks turbo timerSome dodgy wiring soon to be sortedWhen i removed the bumper i found 3 horns and only one worked? So i binned two along with some shitty wiringSome more shitty wiring. Soon to be sorted also.I got two radios with the car and a cheapo air filter. The car also came with lots of trd stickers.Boot rust free and straight happy daysAircon removedAs you can see loads more room to work on the car. Lot easier to remove the turbo and oil filter. I also removed the oil filter tray.Removed the rear wiper and motor. It was rusty and horrible looking also saves a bit of weight too.Wiper and motor out.Grommet fitted and sealed. Also mananged to pop out some of the dent.Parts out and soon to be binned. If anyone want them pm me.I decided to check over the turbo and got a few surprises tonight.First i opened the bolts for the ic pipe between the intercooler and turbo they were loose so it was loosing boost there. So i took off that pipe and found this!Someone tryed to block to the pipe with a screw and to be honest i dont know what it is?????? Also the clips holding the ic rubber hose to the trottlebody was also loose...Good news turbo has no play. Might take it off tomorrow to inspect the manifold as its leaking somewhere More updates Took off the drives side wings to inveastage it. I knew it had been replaced and i seen rust so i investagted i know it was a case of a poor repair but i was shocked on how bad the repair was!The panel is fucked and it was a irish spec wing. Good news is that behind it is perfect and lucky i have a new one here. I dont mind because i want the car mint and its only about 80euro to spray it. Which i think is a small price to have a mint car and that the car will be when im finish with it.Some more good news. I picked up a new bonnet. Needs a bit of work. Good few dints in it. I have loads of time on my hands anyway.Mint new lights and clear indicatorsI got porting a spare manifold i have lying around.I took a bit much off. lolIt will be ok because its under a stud and shouldnt have any problems.New wing. Needs a small bit of work but lot more soilid than the old one!I took off the rocker cover to get powder coated and found the head full of gunk! So after a bit of clean the head looks like new.I have no pics of before i cleaned it but here is some of the shit that came out!I scraped some of the stuff off with a knife and it came off in lumps as you can see.Head is as good as new now. I will be taking off the sump in a few weeks cleaning that along with turbo oil lines and so on.New shorter power steering belt. As i removed the aircon. As the car stands at the minute.I finished porting the manifold tonight. As you can see 80% of the restriction is gone.Gave it a quick spray. I didnt spend much time doing it as it will only burn off anyway. While i was up a japfest i sourced a few bitsNew gt seats need a good clean but not in bad nick.Hp raid wheel and boss kit.I collected my powdered coated rocker cover off jeff in tallagh powder coating. Thanks to him and a sound chap to deal with. Also a big thanks to jay for the toms front bumper!http://i579.photobucket.com/albums/ss239/c...09/DSC00235.jpgRight started the body work today. First was the toms bumper.Removed all the fillersFilled it in with fiberglassLots more to be done to the bumper yet ran out of fiberglass lol Lots more pics to come of repairing the bumper in the next few days Next was the bonnet. Its was repaired poorly before and lots of dints in it!Grinded off the old paint and fillers and was in good nick underneath!Fitted to the car and getting the graps right before i started filling. Its actually starting to look like a car again lolFirst coat of fillersAfter it was filded and sandedNearly done.Bonnet will be finished tomorrow. More updates soon Any and all comments welcome.Shane.

Foggy
Toms grill. I got a broken grill with my head lights so i decided to make a toms rep out of it. It was poorly repaired before so this made my task a bit harder!Bars cut outGrind away what left of them.Meshed and filled it with fiberglassAfter some filling and sandingEnd resultDone some more work on the bumperNearly two tubes of fiberglass gone in so far lolNext up straighten the chassis. Only needed a small pull but took a while to get right all the same. Also i had to do the drivers side from where the car got a tip before and never repaired.I have nearly spent more time on the drivers side today getting small breackets repaired from a minor tip before which was fixed by a cowboy!Still have to get the headlights fitting right but just involves lots of time and patience. Here how it looks now 90% there! Done some work friday night and saturday. I got the headlamps to fit some way right after a lot off tweeking. As you can see the grill can go in place now. There is still a few hours left to do with the headlights trying to get the gaps perfect. Some more work on the bumper nearly there.Got some parts during the week.Tanabe suspentionHeadlamp connects. Old ones some how got broke.New wind deflector.Old one was missing.New crash bar.New arielGlanza rad. Its mint just needs a quick lick of paint,Glanza rad v gt turbo rad. Gt rad is on the bottom.UpdatesDid some more pulling. Slam panel need to come foward 3mm so i wasnt do things by halfs.Say hello to my friend again. lolDoesnt take much to pull it was its very light...More work on the toms bumperFirst i wanted to be able to bolt in the fogs.So i butchered the old bumper and cut out what i needed. And fiberglasses them to the bumper. Also there was a gap between the grill and bumper. So cut out the piece out of the old bumper and fiberglassed that too. After some fillersSanded down still rough.I came across a mint rear cusco brace silly cheap. So i couldnt say no to it.It arrived today. Im very happy with it and couldnt get over how light it is!Started on the wing two dints in it.After some grinding the paint off and a bit of fillers. After sandingAnd some more sandingGot sick of sanding so i decided to make a new battery clamp. As you can see old one is knackered and looks shit.New material stainless steelMarking it out.Cut out roughtly too ages done by hand.DoneNew v oldOn the batteryCame up to a high shine cant really see it in the pics. After spending 2 hours making it idont know if im gonna use it. Its made out of 8mm stainless steel and weights a small ton!Latest pics of the frontHow the car stands at the minute goodies should arrived during the week so stay tuned
