Tyron Devine Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Hi people as above is it worth stripping the rear bench and all the stuff out of the back to bare shell to shed some weight ? and just get a rear strut or not ? Comments welcome Quote
Tyron Devine Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 Haha dont have kids lol dont worry dude i aint planning on any yet only 19 lol i think i am going to strip it on the weekend spare wheel to lol ?? Quote
Guest Enzo Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 If you luv driving do it!Run around with a can of tyre weld,I wouldwnt do it in icolation I'd do other things aswell to make it more noticable, spare tyre and interior trim = 25kgsrear towing eyes another 1kg,ac and gubbins including pump + rad =25kgspowerstearing pump+ bracket = 20kgs,I wouldent recomend bellow but you could go further by taking the structural support of your bonnet off leaving just the skin + bonnet pins. You could do the same with the doors and rear boot. After all of that you should be left with something close to 700kgsthat would give pounding performance on stock boost Quote

jason_l Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Stripped out looks awsome also, so its double win! If i had a starbo i would strip it out If its not needed to make the car move/operate then rip it out and bin it!Think we need a competition to see who has the lowest kg starbo Would be quite interesting to see what people can achieve! jason_l Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Hopefully mine will be about 500kg, but its not really a starbo so don't count. People can obviously lie but only way to properly tell is to get it weighed, will be getting mine done when its built as i really want to know what it is Quote
