ep82GT
id say around 200bhp
Socks
totally depends on the mapping dude...if its a decent map tho, at 1.0bar u will see over 200bhp altho if the map is done properly 220bhp is certainly safe on a td04
birdmandan
You see i worry about this figure on standard internals? I reallllly wanna go Tdo4 at 1 bar but then i hear everywhere that the internals standard cannot handle more then 200 and be reliable at the same time so for the mean time i have stuck at 1 bar on ct9... How many people run over 200 on standard internals?? Dan
5T4R7ET N/A
^^ quite a few. driver off here ran over 250 bhp+ on stock internals. Its all down to the mapping!!!!!
DavidAshton
^^ You need to do some more reading. All bollocks.edit: 5T4R7ET N/A got there before me

Rhys249
whats the difference between running 1.0 bar on a td04 to a ct9 ???i'm geting a td04 kit for my gt but i cant see how running the same presure but on a different turbo will make a difference ;) anyone who can explain ??? _shaun_
i dont no the tech reason behind it but am running td04 at 1bar and and it feels alot quiker than 1bar at ct9think it might be the ct9s working realy hard to push the 1bar were the td04 finds it easyer. more work more heat less power. but am just guessing ;)
Rhys249
i thought it would be something to do with the td04 pushing 1.0 bar easier than the ct9, dunno if the heat will make much difference, but i dunno lol
Fro
Wait and see ;) Guy on tgtt.com ran a td04@1.4bar on a standard engine and made 268bhp iirc.

Rhys249
hah nice, i'm not goin to risk running more than about 1 bar on the standard internals, i cant afford a new engine if it all goes tits up lol
Whitegv
td04 produces more power because it forces a larger MASS of air into the engine,1 bar on a ct9 is not the same as 1 bar on td04. the pressure is the same, but think of it like this, 1bar of pressure in your hose pipe, and one bar of pressure in a fire hose. the fire hose has a bigger bore, so more water (air) will be being pushed through at the same pressure hope this helps down side is more lag ;)
Driver
down side is more lag ;)Once your on boost this is not a problem and any decent driver will be able to keep it on boost.I had full boost by 3800rpm
Whitegv
yeah thats it isn't it, just off the line. antiiiii lagggg
Driver
yeah thats it isn't it, just off the line. antiiiii laggggMine hit many a 1/4 mile and never suffered with lag
Whitegv
the point i was getting at was there is more lag on a bigger turbo than a smaller one. eg, in a non race / drag situation like on a motorway for instance you wanna accelerate quickly youd have to knock down a gear on a td04 if you werent ready on boost, on ct9 waiting for the boost to come in is bearable at least
