Taggy
As it says, i need help on how to fit a quaife LSD, I have only ever rebuilt a gearbox twice and it was a complete nightmare and that was with a Haynes Manual, so i am VERY wary of splitting my box without some kind of guide!!Are they easy to fit or tricky? ktl
depending on how many people who are in. i did try and do a group buy but thread got deleted. So i never bothered. but proberly saving you around £100 making it near the £600 mark. quaife got it for £702 with vat.But to Taggy, give it to someone who deals with gearboxs. rorenapier
Its easy enough to install a diff, the gear cassette doesnt need to be touched.Common sense prevails when doing it...

Ryan-11
yeah its pretty easy, u dont need to touch the gears, u just take all the bolts out, theres an allen key bolt on the side of the gearbox that has a spring and a ball in it that needs to b taking out, the box should come apart by a few inches then theres 2 12mm bolts holding a gear selector on inside the box (its a bit of a bastard to get to), take them out and then the box comes apart, swap the diffs over and put the box back together. lukEp
Do they not need to be shimmed up to stop sideways float in the diff?
