The Project Starlet

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone. I'm Tom from Australia.

I just signed up to UK Starlet Club today.

Here's my Project Starlet. Started off as a 1997 Toyota Starlet *Life* spec. Owned it since January, 2005 and it has been hibernating for a while.

Here are some early pictures when I first brought it home:

Holy feck!!!!

I want that motor!!!!

How much of a conversion was involved to fit it?

Car looks like MJ'S to start with but a 3 door :)

Nice set of rims and lowered mate and it will look mint!!!

Got any other plans

Oh and welcome to the club :p

This kind of engine conversion into an EP91 took a lot of patience. All engine mounts had to be custom made or modified to suit. You need a lot of patience to get this conversion right.

Some 16" lightweight rims are on the cards eventually as well as some decent springs & shocks. I don't think I can lower it any further since the extractors & gearbox only have 110mm of ground clearance which is quite low already.

I'm about halfway through completing my project ...I still have many more insane ideas for this car

Welcome, and good lord how you manage to fit all that in the engine bay! :)
Like I said, takes a lot of patience to get everything to fit propery.
