shorty Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 right car ran fine, turned it of, checked timing was a tooth out on the cam, swapped it over gunned it in all fine. 3 hours later dead! wouldnt start. had no spark so, checked codes, code 14. swapped ht, dizzy, king lead, coil, ignitoer, efi fuse. starter motor. got spark but engine turns slow and wont fire new battery, wont start still slugish turn over, no fualt coeds now though also checked all earths and tryed with and without the buddy club earthing condenser hooked up. please help asap has to go to the mapper today!!!!! I've run out of ideas and gave up at 4.30am and started again at 7am Quote
shorty Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 dont think it can go on wrong tbh. swapped whole unit not just cap. every thing we have fitted is a confirmed working part. makes no sense? alternator had an oil bath from a bad leak few months back, looks messy still, you think the oil could fuck the alternator? james@cjperformance Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 id say that it is definatly battery related dude even new batterys can be a bit shit until they have had a good run, do as mentioned above and see if there is any change.get some gunk on the alternator and spray all the connectors with contact cleaner as that may well be the cause Quote

shorty Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 cheers guys all earths checked, all connections checked, just burning off fuel on the plugs, then whiping the efi out to clear excess fuel, then will hook her to the van and try and get her to go! fingers crossed eh Quote
