t-j-wilson Glanza V
Hey everyone, i'm Tobie from Woking, Surrey. I bought my 1998 Glanza V in October 2010. The car was pretty standard when i bought it from a guy in Milton Keynes for (I think) £2750. Unfortunatly for him he never got to drive it as he was getting insurance quotes of aroun £5000 :S. It was imported to the UK in July 2009, i\'m the second UK owner.I joined UKSC and tgtt and had a good look around the forums about the ep91\'s for general info etc before i started with the modding.Here\'s how she was when i got her.Enough of the Chat, here\'s my progress First thing was removing the hi/lo boost restriction. What difference that made in 1st & 2nd gears, and wiring in the LED\'s on my boost gauge as this wasn\'t done.5/02/2011 - Replaced drivers door handle as it snapped off with the cold weather - £7from member on tgtt.17/02/2011 - I decided on a wheel colour change as the original wheels (advan in factory red) were going a bit pinky in colour. I decided to get them refurbed in Subaru WRX Blue. Along with a full body mop - £150 19/02/2011 - Bought a service kit off TMdevelopments. NGK Iridium (heat 7) plugs, Oil change, and new oil filter. Was an absoulte bitch replacing the oil filter with A/C!! :@ - £63.12/03/2011 - After the agro with the service and all the A/C crap being in the way, i decided to remove it. Got new N/A power steering belt from TMDevelopents - £9.50.Surprised with the weight of all this !12/03/2011 - Restored my glazed headlights as they were looking a bit dull and horrid. Bought a mixure of wet&dry paper from Ebay, and using Socks guide restored them back to former glory. - £4.3916-17/04/2011 - Spent my weekend fitting my brand new Mild steel Manifold, and downpipe from Zisco Performance. Not 100% happy as i have a small leak from the block to mani and took about 4weeks to arrive! Fitted all new gaskets from Enzo and TMD. When i get a free weekend i\'ll have it all off and machined to make sure it\'s smooth and not warped. Also relocated my air filter to behind the grill, and got my self a halfrauds air filter as mine was F**KD. Whilst i had the turbo off i checked if everything was ok with it, but found a minute crack. I decided to port the wastegate anyhow!22/04/2011 - Got my Self and adjustable HKS Actuator off of a member on here, no pics of this, im sorry . 11/05/2011 - I was painting my front calipers, had the front end jacked up, stupidly let the handbrake off to bleed the brakes and my car fell off the jacks and ended up on my garage wall . With no wheels on or anything. I WAS GUTTED. It happened the day off Ace Cafe meet, and 1Week befoe Japfest! The damageThe FixGot the car into my friends bodyshop. Can\'t fault them at all. They pushed my car ahead of all there other work, just so i had it back for Japfest. It took them in total 3 days to get it back to me . I had N/S Wing, door, skirt, quarter, and front splitter done. And a few random pics - And an old one i really like!* Car is running 0.8 bar, standard CT9*Thats all for now guys, sorry it\'s been a bit long and boring, but i\'ll try and update as i go from now on . Hope you enjoy/like. All feedback welcome .LOTS OF FUTURE PLANS TOO, but im going to bed..... Tobie

t-j-wilson Glanza V
Yoo, not much of an update really, kind of going backk again - too go forward My Zisco mild steel manifold was blowing like an absolute bitch, the noise it was making was soo frustrating. As my car now has no MOT it gave me some time to sort it outl. So i finished work and cracked on with taking the manifold, turbo, and downpipe off this evening. Heres some pics of doing it :andsome of how much it is out by: Taking it to an engineering shop so they can machine it flat, it's about an 8th of an inchh.Alos new Toyo Proxes T1R's arrived Wednesday after only ordering them Monday evening from Camskill. They should be going on this weekend hoopefully for the MOT next Tobie
t-j-wilson Glanza V
Small updates, and MOT day! 15/06/2011 - Got my manifold back and fitted it in the evening after work. It actually ended up going to Maclaren in Chertsey to be skimmed as a family friend machines parts for the race cars.Seemed to have sorted the problem (maybe a minute blow) but gonna wait too see if the carbon etc blocks it up...17/06/2011 - Got my new Toyo Proxes fitted ready for the MOT. One wheel got slightly damaged as they've been refurbed using wet paint, not powdercoat or two pack... Such a difference made, probably the best noticable performance gain! .18/06/2011 - MOT DAY. Well it was time for the MOT, it actually ran out about two weeks ago but gave me some time to sort a couple of things out and get it ready. Took it to (again) a family friends garage. Had spoke to him prior to the day about the de-cat, and he said not too worry we'll sort that. gave him some pocket money and *no emissions test* The car passed with no adviosories.Gonna fit my Gizzmo ms-ibc boost controller today - thanks to LeeG. And new gear knob from Starbuck. Both great guys to deal with. I'll get pics later and if i decide to clean it.Tobie

t-j-wilson Glanza V
UPDATE! Hey guys. Didn't realize it had been so long since i last updated... 20/05/2012 - I recently purchased a Toyosports Front Mount Intercooler. There was no chance i was using the standard pipe routing, so i ordered myself a RW Developments custom hot pipe, which arrived super quick! I got round to fitting this once all the parts had arrived. Whilst everything was off i made sure i sorted my bumper out at the same time. Luckily i work for a car bodyshop so this was easy and didn't cost a penny . I chopped the numberplate area, smoothed and painted the bumper. Here are some pictures. Front Mount IntercoolerEngine BayFront endThanks for looking. What next!? Tobie
