N80Jamie Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Just briefly flicked through that link. Does that mean you've got a '1.2 bar actuator'? Quote
nazzurro19 Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 im pretty sure several of us told ya what it is does etcand turn ya actuator down to run lesa booat or use a EBC and control it with that Quote
nazzurro19 Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 he might have an hks one lol ! but if not buy a hks n turn it down or just control ya right foot lol Quote
akyakapotter Posted June 1, 2011 Author Posted June 1, 2011 would a mechanical boost controller do to lower the boost ? like the one with the Alan key bit and lock nut ? Quote
Starbuck Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Nazz. Check his old thread. Its not Adjustable. But he could buy my HKS adjustable one and use some of the money he would have spent on the manual controller towards it.... LOL....... Quote
N80Jamie Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Pretty sure you can't use a boost controller to boost less than the actuator/spring is set to? Could be wrong though.. Quote
nazzurro19 Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 haha im on zee iphone but yeah buy starbucks hks ive got one there awesome Quote
Starbuck Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Pretty sure you can't use a boost controller to boost less than the actuator/spring is set to? Could be wrong though..I think you're spot on fella with that. Quote
LeeG Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 or just get the fueling tweeked for 1.2 bar mines had same fitted to it since it was imported got 30kmiles before engine went and i was running 1.2 on standard ct9 turbo but reason why mines below was cause it had no ported mani fitted. Quote
N80Jamie Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 I personally wouldn't run 1.2bar on a standard engine, no fmic, ecu etc. To the OP; get rid of your actuator and buy Starbucks! Your problem will be solved and your engine will love you for it! Quote
rorenapier Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 You cannot turn the boost down with either a EBC or MBC below the preset base presure of the actuator. Quote
akyakapotter Posted June 3, 2011 Author Posted June 3, 2011 so its replacement actuator for t he time being then :S Quote
MARK@CMBAUTOS Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 is that an arc front mount ? cause it def looks like one Quote
Glanza_cl Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I thought the jam actuator ran 0.8bar low boost and 1bar high boost?? try reconnecting you boost restrictor so the high and low boost switch works again and see if running low boost changes the boost levels. Quote
Sparky Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 is that an arc front mount ? cause it def looks like oneLooks like a JAM one Quote
madmax_926 Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Pretty sure you can't use a boost controller to boost less than the actuator/spring is set to? Could be wrong though..also believe that is very tru mate Quote
