which exhaust manifold best for 180bhp

ive got a toyosport exhaust manifold already i welded it a week ago as cracked now its blow again and i think its cracked the manifold in different place. so looking at getting a new or second hand one which is strong enough for 180bhp. cheers

for the money, a standard ported will do the same job as wepr, this is in my opinion and few members on tgtt.

Cast iron is less likely to crack, than mild steel and espically stainless.

hense why the standard one which is ported is the best option.

theres people on tgtt done 40k+ on there standard ported manis at 1 bar so safe enough.

dont get me wrong, a better option is wepr mild steel/equiv but for the money how better is it than the standard one?

its not exactly skilled work. i did mine fairly easily, took a while mind.

grinding stone & drill

and grind away the area needed, take time and caution.

Ok thanks for advice i will try a stanard one and port it myself ad ive got the standard one it wont cost me anything whats the most power someone has had out of a standard manifold before it cracks cheers

Ported standard mani will surfice for moderate boost levels i.e 0.8bar but imo even when ported limits the flow. Zisco or racetech would obviously be superior but if you are just going to stay on the standard ct9 and run standard boost levels (below fuel cut) a properly ported stock mani will do :rolleyes:.

Also its not about how much power before it cracks its about how limited the flow becomes through the small, short runners thats becomes an issue when hunting power figures.
