KarlosOvCumbria
Hello all,I'm Karl from west-cumbria (Hi Karl.... lol) and I've just stumbled upon this site, very informative and intresting! Good work fella's! Anyway I'm currently trying to find myself a nice Glanza V, seen loads and loads but there all private sellers and as I'm struggling for my loan it look's like I will have to go down the road of getting finance. Does anybody know of any "trustworthy" garages, (If there's such a thing?) that offer finance on used Glanza'S? Not to fussed on heavily modified ones to be honest (Although they are an option) as most of them have been ragged about and I'm looking for something to last me a few years.Garages around the North-West would be ideal (As I'm near Carlisle, Scottish border) or anywhere that would deliver.Anyhoo thanks everyone and any advice would be muchos appreciated! Jozinobi
Welcome to the site man! You've come to the right place for Starlets.Joz
KarlosOvCumbria
Thankyou!@Idrees_SR: Yes mate I would love to buy a private one, but as I said having trouble getting my loan I wanted so look's like it's the finance road for me, unless your mate will take a monthly standing order! lol @shelly_star: Yes, I'm sure they will! I've looked at Enzo's starlet (Red one with carbon bonnet?) It's just a bonny-fu*a innit! Hope to see it around. All my mate's drive ST focus's and Prodrive scoobies, I'm only 20 so insurance for one of those bad boy's would be steep, hence why I've starting looking into the lal' starlets. From what I've read up on them they seem quite the fast lal' car from the 1.3 in them. Handling seems a problem on them, but nothing I won't be able to fix
shelly_star
Well the little starlets are still quite rare, but i been told there's quite a few up north in Scotland lol, but hopefully we'll try keep it low profile so it won't become as common as saxo's, cora's and stuff. lobotomy
I have to say mate -- you might find insurance for a Glanza comparable to a uk scooby!! Have you tried for quotes on a Glanza yet? Don't fall into the trap of getting quotes for an EP82 starlet GT and assuming it'll be the same premium for a Glanza, I did and once I found an insurer who would actually recognise a Glanza my premium had more than doubled from my initial quotes on a '95 GT valued at £5500!Also, personally, I think finance is such a con! My bro took finance for his first car and ended up paying £7000 over 3 years for a car which only cost him £4000!I'm not sure about garages local to you, or even any import garages that do finance? Sorry mate!
KarlosOvCumbria
@lobotomy: To be honest mate I'm glad you said that because when I did my insurance quote, come to think of it, it was for a starlet GT and NOT a glanza! Might have to re-think this now lol. But I'll see what quotes I get when I have time to find some! And yeh finance is a joke like but I'm finding it hard for a loan, got a meeting with my bank on monday so fingers crossed I get my money, if not then looks like I'll have to get finance.
