Mikey Jay
Yeah, damn devils Not trying to mess you around regarding that part you're holding for me Jay, but making sure I want to commit to modifying before I get to far. Will let you know soon man ;)
Jozinobi
VotedJust want to say that getting a glanza wont be the end of all your problems and it won't make you the new kid on the block However if thats what you want at the end of the day, I say save for it and get a glanza fund going starting next week and get a decent one.Keep bacon as a daily driver for the meantime and don't mod him any more. You'll be bored as hell and go all stale and crusty but all that money you save will get you a decent car next year.Don't forget that you'll have to find a buyer for your old car as well, he seems quite hard to shift don't you think? Its good that you're not too far into it, you havent spent a load of money to the point of no return, so you still have a choice hence your poll. Also don't forget to do your research and see how much you'll have to pay for insurance etc, I could buy a glanza next week for instance, its the insurance thats the killer for young people. I'll still look into a quote tho Maybe a sweet GT would be a little more affordable? You won't get to the level you are looking for with bacon unless you put a lot more into it and make a few sacrifices. I have to admit I want a glanza as well unsurprisingly, but Im making do with what I have and hopefully moving on to bigger things in a year or two, maybe glanza, maybe something else... I would keep starletto as a track/mentalist car, but would sell if the price was right (he is a bit hardcore for some)My 2p ;) All the best with your decision Snapster.Joz
Mikey Jay
Thankyou Joz, just trying to make my mind up ;)If I am going down the Glanza route will sell the GT seats to kickstart the fund
Jozinobi
Thankyou Joz, just trying to make my mind up ;)If I am going down the Glanza route will sell the GT seats to kickstart the fund You'll be so much better off in the long run in all areas besides the pocket hahaI mean I would go for the 4efte conversion if I wasnt such an honest guy lolOnce its all said and done, you'll be beaming mate!Joz
Jozinobi
I would tend to listen to Joz Mickey, he's currently well beyond the 'point of no return' and can give you a good idea of what to expect. Both paths have their advantages but one is shortterm and one is longterm, depends what you are after and if you can stick granny-spec for long enough. Listen to this man too lolIf you want something unique and have the moolah and imagination you could make a storming n/a, dont get me wrong because I love glanzas but there are quite a few of them about, and I know that your a person who wants something unique, but the performance gains would be unreal with a glanza, like some people say, the difference between night and day. With the n/a there is a limit that you can reach without changing engines and there is too much work involved with making it something really special whereas with a glanza its turn the key and your off, with all the accessories included although you'll have to spent quite a bit of money on it too to make it truly yours. It seems insurance might be quite high for you if you are already paying so much for the n/a but hopefully things improve when you get another years ncb.Somebody has to realistically represent the na ep scene so why not me & Phil lol ;)Joz
Guest Enzo
ive voted for saving for a glanza but atleast get your current car lowered with a set of cheep lowering springs and a set of bigger steeelies + tyres from a breakers (current wheels are skinny scary stuff), that way you could get a wee bit of enjoyment out of driving if you were so inclined
Sparky
Glanza for OBVIOUS reasons
Idrees
Glanza for OBVIOUS reasons
Nanglebadger
i cant say anything more than Joz has! personally id love a Glanza or a sweeeeeeeet quad light GT but insurance would rape me, so my plan of attack is simply to go all out on an n/a, i realise it'll never be the fastest car on the road but thats not to say i cant enjoy it by improvin the handling and its looks.its not a nice choice but im with Joz here!Phil. paul w
Buy a nice quadlight GT (or squarelamp ;) ) And mod that using the money saved instead of getting the Glanza.Nicely modded GT would only be 2/3 the price of Glanza, easier to insure too.
Idrees
I'd like to add, atleast get your car decent looking though..Spend a small fortune on some nice rims and lowering springs, and maybe a few more touches so it atleast looks smart and is fun to drive. And then when you come to selling up, you could save the rims and suspension for your Glanza! Stevie B
the thing is, you wuld need to save for a glanza v.....then......could you actually afford to run it?
Mikey Jay
What kind of extra running costs would I be looking at with a Glanza then?
paul w
What kind of extra running costs would I be looking at with a Glanza then?Fuel, insurance, mods, tyres, serviceing, unexpected problems such as a turbo going pop, other engine issues etc etc etcUsual turbo running costs really.they are the main ones to worry about.
Stevie B
well all that plus add tax and insurance <--- the killer!as paul said about replacing unexpected problems, i'v spend loads on these alone.....
SiCaln
Glanzas arent cheap i loved my n/a for 3yrs before i got to the point of owning a V, prices are high but they are reliable cars - mate to be honest not tryna be out of order but whatever we say ull change your mind again next weekhow many times have u gone to sell Bacon now?! Mikey Jay
erm...only 3 times.... ;)I'm sorry, I suffer from indecisiveness (not an actual condition I know)(hence not knowing what career I want long-term and not going to uni)
