Josh@TunerLifestyle Posted August 30, 2011 Share Posted August 30, 2011 took my car for mot and he came back and told me it failed on emissions.....i told him it was a jap import so it only needed an idle test but he said it still failed ..heres a printout of the test,is there a problem with my car or is he wrong ? just need some help ASAP pleaseeee!! micky boy Posted August 30, 2011 Share Posted August 30, 2011 Haha i always kept my cat for this very reason it pissed me off when i tryed 3times to get an M.O.T on my glanza and it failed everytime on emissions i even turned the FPR up on my car so it was runnig abit rich and it stil failed put the cat back on and it passed with flying colours Also try reseting the ecu befor you take it in it should run abit richer which will help it pass Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Josh@TunerLifestyle Posted August 30, 2011 Author Share Posted August 30, 2011 i told him that though !he said that 2e-e and the 4efe was the only engines for the starlet! hi was like yours must be a modified engine , he couldent get into his thick skull that it was a 4efte and a jap import! told him to look at the engine code and he said he had checked... bollocks did he! his answer to when i said it was jap import and didnt need an emissions test was well i need a document from main dealers to say it dosent need one, i said yes i have all the cars docs.. BUT ITS ALL FUCKING IN JAP!!!so i stormed off...went and spoke to the manager and he sorted it out for me... Quote Link to post Share on other sites
