mark1991
i got my quad light around 3 months ago, after getting my C2 cammed was not worth doing it my opinoin. when i got it had OZ alloys, boost gauge, hks mild steel exhaust, springs and shocks, rx7 top mounted intercooler and a hks panel filter. but the discs and pads were all needing replaced. i was just aiming for a fastish good looking starlet but now i am getting part for my TD04 set up so far i have the manifold, downpipe, sard rrfpr, braided oil feed line and a mint condition td04l. just getting the parts as i go along First was to take out the air con and front mount the filter which made a such a diffrence. so i got the relocation kit and a non air con belt from monster motorsport next as i said i had to get a new exhaust (cat-back) its a 2.5" from the cat back, 2.25" downpipe then i decided that i wanted a new manifold and they were going cheep on ebay so i got a stainless one... it says 304 stainless but stinlesss is not magnetic... and again i seen that front mounted intercooler was going for a good price on ebay and got one i was going to get rota slipstreams but could not find them in satin bronze so i got reps and to go with them i got a full set on paradas 195/50/15 from cam skill the mods so far are as follows *hks fcd *hks turbo timer *front mounted air filter *front mounted intercooler *toyosports manifold *jperformance braced de-cat *longlife 2.5" cat back *pilar mounted boost gauge *red stuff pads and grooved front discs *parada spec 2 tyres all round *rota slipstreams replicas *air con removed as standard the car came with *door mounted speakers which i believe to be rare *momo steering wheel a few before and after pics and after i am putting back on my hks back box as the longlife one is not loud enough... the exhaust was chop 4" shorter too mark sure it was loud and then a new stainless baffle tube was put in and new baffles there was no 2.5" pipe at work so a 3" pipe had to be cut down the middle cut a bit out and weld in back up and lots of cutting and bending and re-welding but it should fit no probz

mark1991
i dont think that all of you guys have a tig welder sitting around but thought that i would share woth you guys how i made my screamer pipe. i started off with a autobahn88 de-cat pipe from *Johnboy GT* for a good price, 1. i cut out the side part of the decat that would expose the internal wastegate. 2. then you have to separate the de-cat pipe from the screamer pipe with a piece of stainless. as you can see i left the piece of plate long (facing into the turbo housing as i am going to cut and shape it to get a good fit in between the exhaust turbine and the wastegate). 3. you need to get stainless pipe measuring 35mm outside diameter, pipe wall thickness 1.5mm, cut and re-weld the pipe to make a bend that is 90 degrees. 4.next you have to weld the pipe on and follow the de-cat pipe down cutting and roatating the pipes 5. you need to seel the space in between the flange and the screamer pipe, with 2mm stainless steel plate. 6. you would be safe to put a small brace from the de-cat to the screamer also extra info, i have not put a brace on the decat to the engine yet but i would strongly recommend one. also when welding stainless run argon gas throught the pipe to keep the weld that may penatrate through into the piep clean. dont use excessive amps when welding as stainless steel distorts and pulls very badly with too much heat. good luck to anyone try to do the same i will upload a link when i get in fitted also this week i got my rocker cover breather fitted, my hids fitted. my old cast manifold back on and the toyosport manifold will be taken back into work to get fixed. also got some heat wrap on its way along with s/s ties and jubilee clips
