KIT3Y's ep91 build

Recommended Posts

hi all, this is my new starlet... bought it as my first car as this is "more sensible than a golf" - parents!

bought it from a mate with some subtle mods done but got a lot planned for this one!

first of all, lose the "L" plates when i get the time!

some pics of my ep91 then :

I don't see how a Golf is less sensible than a Starlet, silly parents lol.

Assuming you were getting a mk4 Golf, and as a first car having to stick with the 1.4 engine, you're better off with a Starlet anyway as they are pretty much on par with a 1.6 mk4 Golf.

Get a Corolla inlet manifold on there, and to make it look a bit nicer some clear indicators and a spoiler (either a standard Sportif or TTE one).

Starlets are great first cars, I wouldn't have changed mine for anything at the time.

cheers for the advice on the turbo, looks like its gonna be on my shelf for a while then!

engine will be getting some more tuning when i have the time, its already got:

corolla head

twin race cams and up-rated valves

de-cat stainless exhaust

induction kit

higher rate fuel filter

racing clutch

so its a bit more than meets the eye initially!

clear indicators sound a good idea, may fit a body kit to it to get some fogs on it too!

stickerbombing the back end tomoro so pics will be up soon!

Glanza replica would be good, I love this colour and would like to see it on a Glanza.

What's the spec on the cams?

A Corolla inlet manifold would make a good difference and would be my next engine mod.

Depending on the cams I'd say you could be near or above 100bhp with a Corolla or 4EFTE inlet manifold and a good exhaust manifold.

NO. You will NOT Glanza rep this one. If you do, do it badly, because I have always wanted to rep a tropicana N/A! :p

Nice base to start with. A set of speedlines would clean that exterior up no end, and I agree with Ste on the TTE Spoiler, would set the rear end off a treat.

began stickerbombing the bootlid around the light today after someone kindly removed my "L" plate with their keys...

found a big scrape down to the metal so it wouldnt polish out.

so far have bombed left hand of boot lid, fuel cap and some of the surrounding area! gonna do more when i have the time/right weather!

pics up tomoro when its light to show off hows its looking!
