paul w Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Do it cheap....do it twice! Remove the boost restriction in 1st and 2nd gearfit a new uprated actuator hks is a common one and turn up the boost a bit (dont turn it up above fuel cut till the other mods are in place)fit a fuel cut defencerand a fuel regulator or pump. Glanza_Ragger Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 even cheaper.... fit a fuel cut defender, then cut the original actuator arm down and re weld it...proper bodge stylee dont try that by the way.. Quote
lobotomy Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Buy a bleed valve and turn your boost up to 2BAR, you'll need an FCD though... it'll be affy fast! (kidding)It does feel quicker with the boost restriction bypassed. But to be honest you shouldn't look for any cheap fixes, it'll only cost you in the long run Quote
Glanza_Ragger Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 lol @ lobo.mate, i run 5 bar all day everyday ;) jus kidding..as lobotomy said, cheap routes , ie: fcd, regulator , actuator is asking for trouble..before you up the boost, sort the air and oil cooling side of things out first.there the major downfalls with the starlets.if you go the cheap route your just going to upset mr internals Quote
SiCaln Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 couldnt agree more i would try n over push the ct9 because ull gte issues that u didnt foreseeget a hybrid ct9 at least and ensure all fuelling mods are carried out first Quote
paul w Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 No-one's said the obvious yet.....press the accelerator harder! ;) Quote
lobotomy Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 No-one's said the obvious yet.....press the accelerator harder!Believe it or not my bro wondered how for a few weeks his car felt a lot slower... his car mat had slipped up and had limited the throttle travel by about an inch He moved the carpet back down and was fairly impressed again Honestly everyone jokes about buying FCD's and turning the boost up, but that's the way the majority of punto GT's were tuned around my way... Everyone was like, wow your Punto's affy fast, then a month or two later they were looking through their pistons and out the holes in the side of there blocks. Quote
Guest Enzo Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 lol and fcd and 13.5 psi is what they run in ausland, gona cause troubles though me thinks loleo Quote
