I'm stuck again! Not in snow this time

Recommended Posts

Leaving work my car started smelling of burning, pulled over and the brakes are nearly on fire! Smoking like a good'en. Had the caliper off several times already before now as it sometimes sticks, but now it stuck on good.

Just sat in a layby waiting on some tools lol

Is it worth getting another caliper? because this ones been in and out loads of times. Ive taken out the slides each tiime and used proper slider grease, they run smooth. Its the piston that keep seizing, cud it be fuked and corrodedd inside?

cheers for the replies. I had to nurse the car home 20 miles not touching the front brake at all, using the handbrake to slow down  It stopped smelling after 5 miles lol. there was nothing else I could do as my friend didn't bring me a G-clamp to push the piston back in after we had taken the caliper off and temporarily unsiezed it. Hope I haven't harmed anything driving it apart from the pads. Its already got warped discs from times its done it before!

Looks like a new set of discs and pads, and a caliper for me.

got a pair of glanza calipers here dude :)

whats invloved in fitting these? as I need new discs any ways?
