Stroudy
Finally found the time to put a build thread together so this is the story so far:-i had been looking for a nice clean glanza to have as a weekend project car. After months of searching and searching i came across a tidy example so had to see it in person after driving 320 miles to have a look and check it over i fell in love with it and had to have it.it came with a couple of mods:-Autobahn FMICSS ManifoldDecatHKS ActuatorHKS Silent Hi Power ExhaustAs the rear tyres were bald the guy also gave me a spare set of wheels with tyres The car obviously had its bad points too so once i got it home i purchased some KYB front shocks as the ones on it had started to leak and also purchased some uprated discs with yellowstuff pads. Luckily i have a friend who is a master technician at Toyota who let me bring my car in to Toyota and use one of their ramps to carry out the work .Once everything was fitted it was running like an absolute dream! but withing 3 months or so i the car just lost all power and broke down at on the motorway, i managed to tow the car to my friends house and after taking the cylinder head off we soon realised it was fried with hardly any compression and the head was badly warped So i started to look for a decent 4EFTE to do a straight swap, at the time i couldnt find a thing and was getting really frustrated with the time it was taking to get my car back on the road. but whilst i was looking for an engine i came across a low mileage 5E block, crank etc for sale at an absolute steal after consulting my friend at toyota he convinced me to go for the 5E & forge it and he would source the parts needed for it to be installed in my glanza. Once i recieved the block it was taken to toyota to be forged a couple of weeks later the work was done and the block was braught back to my house to drop into the bay, as i didnt have a cylinder head i purchased the head off my friend at Toyota's forged GT project.Once it was in and everything connected it fired up first time like a dream now that the car was mechanically sound i had to start gathering parts before mapping.Below are a few pics of mods i have put on the car:-And the current spec is as follows:-EngineForged 5ePistonsCon rodsARP Head boltsSteel gasketFront mount intercoolerRacetech intercooler coreRoose motorsport orange vac linesRoose motorsport orange intercooler couplersStainless steel intercooler clampsGreddy type S purple BOVWepr manifoldWepr 3” down pipe heat wrappedWepr wastegate relocatorRacetech Custom Fabricated Screameer pipeTial 38mm chrome wastegateTd05 ball bearing turboOEM LSD Gearbox, Driveshafts & Gearbox mount.ACT 6 puck clutchTM Developments 5E-4E flywheelTM Developments Speedo convertor kph/mphGreddy emanage ultimate ECUMain harness3 bar map sensorInjector harnessCustom Pipes straight through custom 3” exhaustHKS silent hi power back box550cc injectorsWalbro fuel pumpPerformance ignition leadsBlitz spark plugsDual core aluminium radiatorMonster motorsports oil catch tankFensport Lightweight pulleysTegiwa engine torque damperHKS oil filterOil filter relocatorOil cooler kitHKS super power flow reloaded air filterAir filter relocator KitClear cam coverPolished rocker coverPolished inlet manifoldPolished fuel railCarbing cooling panelTuning developments reservoir coversTRD oil filler cap InteriorGlanza original floor matsTRD short shifterTRD gear knobDrift iridium air fuel ratio gaugeDrift iridium boost gaugeDrift iridium oil temp gauge3 gauge pillar podGreddy profec b spec 2 boost controllerGreddy turbo timerMomo Race steering wheelSnap off boss kitPlasma dialsRipspeed cd/dvd/aux/ipod 7” screen1000w 6x9 speakersOptional extra arm restOptional extra flare and panelOptional extra Air purifierElectric Sunroof Exterior98 spec front bumper98 spec optional lip98 spec crystal fogs98 spec rear lights98 spec optional rear bumper lipDuck tail spoilerBC racing coilovers15” speedline alloysHID headlight kitLED side light kitClear indicator lensesChrome indicator bulbs (orange Flash)EBC 40 grooved discsEBC yellow stuff padsOEM Front strut brace3 point optional rear brace & all plasticsWind deflectorsSunroof wind deflectorD1 Light weight wheel nutsFlat blade window wipers here are a few pics as it sits now. Ricky at racetech was asking the same question yesterday and we were discussing the possibility of moving it.

daniel_g
Quality mate, take it there was a lot of masking tape involved or was it straightforward?
