Okay, well i'm going on track for the first time this year at Japfest in May and in all honesty i'm a bit nervous.

My n/a is completely standard handling-wise apart from the shabby sr springs and a glanza strut brace (of which i'm yet to fit)

I'm about to service the car as I do religiously every 4/5k, but is there any other pre-checks I should carry out apart from the obvious and will stripping out the rear bench make much difference.

I'm also a bit nervous as to i'm ment to drive on track, i'm probably gonna get thrown out of the shabby standard seats and in all honestly i'm probably going to have the slowest car out there, so i'm shitting it to see people like Taggy and VTAK Y0's overtaking the fuck out of me.

Basically I just don't want to crash, but in my financial position I can't afford to shell out for track day insurance.

Just go out there and enjoy it mate you ain't gonna keep up with turbos etc

As for checks do the normal like oil etc check brake pads disks and fluid and coolant levels as for stripping the rear bench will save a little weight but not a great deal

aslong as you stick to the overtaking rules and check your mirrors alot for faster cars coming up behind you :)

tyres, oil, water brake fluid and pads + disks are the ones to check before going onto track

dont slow down for faster cars though just move over to let them pass you where its safe :) enjoy yourself and take it easy till your comfortable, all of us have had oh shit moments on track but as long as you dont go stupid it usualy ends up ok :)

I found when I went to the 'Ring that I was obviously ridiculously slow compared to pretty much everyone else on the track but I still had an awesome time. I think that it doesn't really matter how quick your car is, you'll have a hell of a lot of fun whatever you're in; it's just fun to get to push it more than you otherwise would on the road

Like everyone else said, the main thing is just keep an eye out for the faster drivers, but ease yourself into it and it'll be sweeeeeeet! :)
