Kayble
Wondering if anyone knows of a kit i can get that just adds remote locking to the car. Not really interested in an alarm. The car key is basically just a house key lol, but it has central locking so hoping it will be pretty straight forward to wire in.Its a 1996 Glanza V
Shahzad
I have a toad one in my car. It took about an hour to fit. The hardest part was locating the correct wires under the steering wheel./>http://www.ncs-systems.com/prod/

DavidAshton
Your car has remote central locking from factory, you just need to purchase a keyfob from Toyota and program it to your car. These are the instuctions and part number from a thread on TGTTI finally ordered a new remote fob for my glanza, went and picked it up today. And lone behold the instructions to prgramme the fob, from the japanese site i found do work. The translation from japanese to english using an online translator do not come out very clear. So here is the procedure:Unlock the car. Climb in and close the door.Insert the key into the ignition barrel, turn the ignition ON-OFF 3 timesPull the key out of the barrel then press the button on the new fob.Locks should now cycle on, off.Insert key back into the ignition, and then again turn the ignition ON-OFF 3 times.Pull the key out of the barrel and then, again press the button on the new fob.Locks should now cycle on, off.The fob is now programmed to the car, just double check by pressing the button on the fob a couple of times, the locks should god up and down.Mods, this might need moving to the Helpful info section? And for those of you who would like a fob heres the part number89742-10010Cost me £32.55 incl VAT from Toyota (30/01/10) Edited May 13, 2012 by DavidAshton
TrisK
Not all do DavidOnly someLook at the base of the rear view mirror. And you can pop off a cover and get to the electrics. You need to have a look there to see if you have it
DavidAshton
I have heard that before but I am yet to see a car without it, I am sure it was a standard feature? If you check the 98 spec brochure in the Wiki section it is pictured with various other standard features. Evjatar
If you want to check, look for a black cap in front of the rearview mirror, there should be a little cap on the place where the mirror mounts. That's the remote control receiver.
