baileys dump valve

hi, i have a balieys dump valve and ive been told they have a reputation for starting to leak or something, i was just wondering if this could have happened to mine because when my turbo boosts i hear a hissing noise which is quite loud and dissapears when i lift off and the dumpvalve releases the pressure, my mechanic freind checked all the boost pipes and couldnt find anything else that could be leaking so think it could be this, anyone have any advice?

could be, try blocking off the dumpvalve and see it it stops

there crap d/v mate i had 1 did the same thing changed to a hks ssqv problem solved

X2 I bought the car with a baileys dv. It was leaking quite a lot at the time.

Replaced it with a spare baileys that worked fine but soon after bought an SSQV

1000000x better!

Would u lose much performance? Mine hisses sometimes... Least I think it's the dv

They are utter shit best place for them is the bin I'm afraid. hks blitz or just good old chatter

crap unless if you replace the plastic piston inside with a metal one which can hold thicker rubber seals and also change the spring to a stiffer one.
