New oil pump, but forgot to put instant gasket on behind it!

I have just come to the realisation that I havent put instant gasket on the rear of my new oil pump when i fitted it, looking at my old one i can see it had gasket on it. Is it going to leak like a sive if i dont take it off and put some on the back of it?

I would say it will leak. Think there is 2 types one with an o-ring and one that is stuck on

i thought the type without the oring was for the block that has the o-ring in it. But as a precaution i went round the outside edge of the whole thing when doing mine.

i know its a bastard, and will be time consuming

but you wil actually cry if your forged 5e grinds to a halt due to lack of oil
