hazell ep91 sr
Wondering how i would run without a dv with standard top mount. What would i do with the Hotpipe outlet for dv?
Hawwy
Leave the dv on there dont put vac to it or block vac iff. Thats what ive done

Socks
That will leak, valve will open on boost...Take the DV completely off and blank the vaccum and pipe off with somthing... Seal the system...

hazell ep91 sr
Ok thanks. Any difference running with and without a dv?
Taggy
You car will chatter like a wood pigeon, instead of the usual woosh sound, sounds sick
hazell ep91 sr
Woop. Where does it chatter from?
Foggy
Its chatters from the wastegate. Not great for the turbo.
akyakapotter
its fine i chattered on my ct9 sounds awesome and chatter on my TD04 as have no where for the DV anyway im sure if it was bad the guys at TD would have told me when i had it mapped
LukeSR
Some people say its bad, others have run without DV's for ages and not had a problem. ;)
Max9650
Some people say its bad, others have run without DV's for ages and not had a problem. ;) as above.. personally i wouldnt run without one as turbo cars are designed with DV's for a reason..just imo
hazell ep91 sr
Need a new turbo first as my dv was full of oil. Stupid oil seals! Any way of replacing oil seals?
Max9650
i think you can send them off to be rebuilt, but its not overlly worth it as its not overly cheap
hazell ep91 sr
Ah ok. Not something you can do then? Seems such a waste of a turbo lol
MARC MOSS
Shouldnt really run ct9's without a dv or standard recirc as the compressor surge will drastically shorten the life expectancy, some may last yes but it's not good for them.Td series turbo's can handle it with no problems i understand
