russ78 Posted January 12, 2013 Share Posted January 12, 2013 hiI have a offer of stock sized forged pistons but need to identify the brand as the oil ring in one of the cyilinders need replacing and these have to be brand matched. does anyone know how to identify them is there markings anywhere ?? I have been told there is no markings on the sides or top but hes unsure of inside where the gudgeon pin livesany help would be greatcheers Quote Link to post Share on other sites

AdamB Posted January 14, 2013 Share Posted January 14, 2013 Ross and JE pistons are engraved underneath the dome. Wiseco's have a large dish and intake valve cut outs. Wossner I can't comment on other than they have a small if not virtually flat top dished dome, they also have large valve cut outs. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
