white-gt
Hi guys not sure if its a problem or not, just had a turbo rebuilt with replaced housing etc and I've been running a cr9b for a while now at 1 bar which seemed decent.I finally got the hybrid fitted and got the actuator set to 14psi and left the MBC setting screwed out but I feel it takes a while for full boost.E.g. in second at 2000rpm if I floor it the boost gauge doesn't shoot up as quick as the old ct9, it would be on full boost at around 3200rpm.What's your thoughts? ro55ifumi
Get an EBC an you will be able to raise gain so improve response time John
Socks
get rid of the mbc matey... adjust the actuator to set the boost level... Chances are that will fix it an EBC will always be a wise investment tho!
white-gt
When it went on the dyno the actuator made the progression very slow and as soon as the MBC went on their was a very big improvement , performance HQ done it so its been left on. I'll keep an eye out for a low cost one being soldin the near future then guys. I've spent enough on it lately lol. Thanks lads.
Socks
May be a worn actuator then matey?
mattyD
hmmmmm possibly a leaky actuator as socks suggested, full boost by 3200rpm on a hybrid is similar to td04 figures lol! Edited February 9, 2013 by mattyD
Liam_D
Yeah does sound like a actuator diaphragm could be on its way out. Ct based turbos are prone to having weak actuators.
pick1
Either that or the actuator could be sticking mate mine did that and it wouldn't hit full boost till later on in the revs just try whipping it off n giving it a good clean and check it moves freely
white-gt
thanks for the advice guys, i'll try have a look when she is back from the body shop
Idrees
It's not a Speedvision Hybrid is it? If so it may be normal for it to boost so late, they're quite laggy for a CT9 from my experience. I'd rather have a stock CT9!
