TurboTobz
So, been sorting some bits on the car past few days, and finally got around to cleaning it, and a polish! Also put a new exhaust mount on the back which was wrong in every way apart from shape so I had to shave it down and elongate the holes it was a right pig to fit still but it now gives me an exhaust mounted strong and tidy and not on my rear beam! Also put in an rspec turbo timer didn't have a harness and only instructions I could find on them was for another model so it was pretty annoying!Excuse the pic that was before I cleaned my interior! And finally shampooed my carpets and done a really good tidy up, hiding some wires that had snuck out and finally mounting my indiglo controls, and remove the carbon wrap from the centre console as it had begun to look a little crap!Got a few bits sat by to start sorting out forged rods and pistons, cooling fan, smoothed rocker, blitz super sound dump valve, a wepr Evo manifold and braced decat plus a angled screamer from my ewg! Will hopefully be cracking on soonish but need a load of tig welding done! TurboTobz
blitz super sound, needs a polish and tigging onto my intercooler pipe work.Started decluttering today, ran out of insulation tape do I've left a further 5 ish more plugs and wire I need to reduce back to the loom. Also thought my oil return was looking a little bit sketchy so had that off and adjusted it and checked it over just to be on the safe side.Started making my mounts so I can lower the rad an inch or so and loose the cable ties, but my garage is like aladins cave at the moment and I can only find my battery drill which needed a lengthy charge so I couldn't drill out the spot welds on the oem right hand rad mount to remove it.Also had a toy with flipping my intercooler but at the moment the wastegates in the way of my rad which i need to move to the centre more to get the intercooler pipe to run next to the rad rather than taking the long route around and under the car and mounting the intercooler flipped also looks to be an issue, so I'll take it a step at a time and try once I've put the wepr kit on. If I can I may fit some aero catches and try and do something with the slam panel as i really want the rad and intercooler in a more permanent place.
TurboTobz
This piece of shit copped it today! For those who didnt guess it's the last part of the air conditioning that most people leave in, it sits in an air box in the car and two pipes come through the firewall. The finished articleI also put a wiring kit through it as I've been missing the presence of bass and got offered a very decent set up for cheap! My bays pretty grubby weathers been nasty last few days, got some bits to do to the bay next week to start sprucing it up.You can see the next victims that I'll be removing from my loom (the untidy disused plugs hanging down), I just ran out of insulation tape before I had the chance to Finnish them! TurboTobz
Well, this car done me very well and it was a very sad sight to watch it drive away from me this evening especially for the pennies I took, but needs must. I'll Definately be about still, attending events once my baby's arrived and without a doubt my next build will be a monster and built from a bare shell. Estimated date: depends on a recent job interview! Edited July 16, 2013 by TurboTobz
