Toby's ep91 - a very sad day indeed!

Recommended Posts

So, got my first V when I was 18 it was a high spec'd k24 previously owned by kingy glanza and Sumodan. When I lost my job I decided to sell it.

(I'll upload pics and spec soon).

Since then I've had a lot of cars but I eventually got bored of my Ibiza cupra and decided to get another glanza. I wanted something white pref 98 spec and with a bit done, I ended up getting a silver 96 spec with very little done. I was not overly happy with it and knew i would be changing a lot on it!

Here's how she looked:-

The car originally had a livesports front end it was cracked and replaced with a 96 spec bumper.

Spec was as follows (taken from for sale listing and modified slightly as I found a few little surprises)

Hks ssqv squential dump valve

Hks mushroom air filter

Hks actuator

Hks fuel cut defender

Magnicore 8mm blue ht leads no king

Toyo sport stainless manifold

Toyo sports stainless decat

Straight through system (DIY straight bar welded in and universal can clamped on)

Jperformance oil catch can

Tanabe sustec and shocks

Front mount intercooler

Complete hard piping and blue hosing

Mph dial facia

16" advan rcii reps excel

Bonnet raisers

98 spec rear lights

98 Spec clear indicators

Original optional wind deflectors

Original optional ignition ring light

electric mirrors

Livesports rear spoiler

fob system (remote battery gone)

Smoked boost gauge pod

New brake discs and pads all round

Blue anodised throttle pulley

As I was searching through the car I found a hks FCD which was switched off that the owner didn't know about.

I started removing some shitty blue brackets and found a anodised blue throttle pulley.

The owner had no idea what make the coilovers were I expected them to be crap.

Everything had been rattle canned blue, and the exhaust manifold was cracked and blowing among a few other little pesky issues.

More coming had to go see to some bleedin horses! I'll get onto it now...

Malcolm it wasn't easy, I actually had to slice it carefully with a bread knife, then carefully pull the terminal off the battery as its kind of spot welded on! If you need any help I can run you through it!

Yeah lee be meaning to for ages just avoided it as doing it from an iPhone is annoying haha.

Cheers critic way more to come got loads of pics to pop up in a few mins!

- tuning developments braided oil feed.

- mild steel ewg manifold td series flanges.

- stainless steel td series decat.

- Copper nuts for manifold.

- toyosports heat wrap.

Began fitting them, borrowed a rocker cover from the infamous rbz (cheers) while I began modifying my own and losing the blue that over ran my bay.

Also gave the bay a coat of degreaser and done a wire tuck on my injector rail, and removed my charcoal cannister and vented it below the car.

So the time came for a colour change, I didn't have time to get the 98 spec bumper sorted so I filled the glanza badge recess and remove it and dropped it off for the weekend.
